Ophelia
My name is Ophelia, and I came out to my parents when I was 14.
At the time, I wasn't sure I'd make it to age 30, but I'm 30 this year, married to a woman I love, a leader in my church, and working for a Christian LGBTQ organization. My relationship with my family of origin has been healing, and I love God more than ever. And, I know without a doubt that God loves me.

I hope you have that someday soon, too. Some days, people get me down, but now I never doubt that God loves me exactly as I am.
When I was 14, and for a while after that, I wasn't sure how it would ever get better. But I think how it gets better is that you get stronger. The Spirit of God is in you, and there's nothing you can do or be that can change that. That's great news! That Spirit makes us stronger. And things get better.
